This is what comes from final week stress. Now I'll do what I'm supposed to be doing. o_o
For the record: I. HATE. BRICKS. REMIND ME NEVER TO DRAW THEM. EVER.
This is more of a Breaker of The Code thing...
This picture is based off the Cooperate legends surrounding Kai's little traitor incident. Here's the summary:
Kai left the Cooperates and was then considered a high-risk traitor, for which the penalty is execution. So the Cooperates carried out the penalty and threw him in an old empty prison cell as an example. However, the cooperates hadn't really thought through the fact that they trained him up for the sole purpose of surviving any physical trauma, and overlooked the little tiny fact that he was actually still alive.
He eventually recovered, regained his strength, and made a break for it. But he got caught, because he was still relatively weak. After a few break outs and secret recapturings, rumors started to spread that Kai's ghost was running around looking for vengeance. Some said his ghost just wanted to escape the castle walls. Some said he was clearly dead and it was all nonsense.
Some even went as far to say he was still alive...
Yay, kaipai! : D I wish i could give you a proper critique, but I don't like the star system that much ( I don't know what some of the ratings mean... : p) So, um this is sorta a critique... Just without the stars.... Oh, what the heck, I'll give you five for everything just for kicks.
This picture has a really good concept and mood going for it. I really like Kai's expression. It's all like he's making a comeback. So mysterious.. *.* .One thing that kind of bothered me was Kai's arm positions... The pose is kind of awkward to me. I know that its supposed to be uncomfortable, but if someone were to be um, "hung" like that, their shoulder bones would probably pop out. D; poor kaipai.. (Or maybe that's what the cooperates wanted to do, those sickos.... >.>) The hands look quite weird even though they are supposed to be covered in fur.... I know fairy foxes have no defined anatomy, so I guess I'm being a bit hard on you.
You've got most of your shading in all of the right places, I think. Kai's pupils and cornea? could use a bit more blending within the eye. I know how you feel about your bricks, and I'll say they do look a little fuzzy... It's like a wall of Kaipai : D The light on Kaipai needs a little blending with the background, but I guess that depends whether the light is focused or scattered. Kai's hair is a bit thick, so you could add more strands to make it more realistic, but I can understand if that's just your style. You've improved with your fur, I see... everything, really.
Hope this critique helped you instead of giving you a headache. It's so darn long... And sorry I fangirled about kaipai during the whole thing. He's just so cuuuute. :3 The only one like like better than him is Andre. (Why do I always like the psychos?) Anyway, I just wanted you to know, I've watched these series' of yours since third grade and I lurve them. I don't care what people say. These are my shows! : )
honestly this is one of the greatest pictures you've ever drawn. The detail is amazing and... there's just so much packed into that sentence. Some even say he's alive.... god that is just great inspiration that's allot to work with. Man, you have really progressed over the years! this picture totally captures the whole idea of Fairy Foxes. Kai is indeed my favorite character because of the whole 'mysterious dude' thing he's got going on. Like, the traitor thing... thats sonme good stuff. you are a good person good artist Fairy foxes is one of the things that inspired me to draw. When i first saw the episodes, i even made up a fan character. She was a green fairy fox with blue wings. And i still pretty much love her. She was my first, and favorite, oc.
Thank you so much! I'm fairly happy with it for now... I think his hair would probably be a little more messy in this situation. I'm still experimenting with it...
He was specifically trained to make it out of tough situations, so he's pretty good at it. He's not very good with social situations, though. His divided loyalties, infamous reputation, and occasional heavy Goji dialect keep him from being socially accepted in the majority of situations. XD
Well, I actually get rid of him for a while. He's there a lot in the beginning, goes through some character development, gets pretty much suspensefully cut out, and doesn't come back until the very end of the episode.
Well, wit his little absence, some other characters gets the spotlight! I think Louie doesn't get a lot. (i might not be right.. i haven't watched the series again. ;v; )
And; will there be some extra characters? Like the cooperates (the foxes that work with Andre), that get a lot of moments ? (this one fox.. Spencer, i think ?? )
That's exactly why I'm getting rid of him for a little while. Zoey, Mark, and Mimi will get more. Louie will be characterized by sidelining. Kiki is already characterized, so I'll just focus more on the others. There are a few extra characters! Lieutenant Paul, Bingo (a Cooperate scientist), and a few others will be there. Spencer will also get a small moment.
That's great!! Can't wait 'till part 2 comes out! You're doing a good work with keeping up with the series. It takes a lot of patience to draw every frame, animate, voice, and hoping people will like it.
We can say Kai went to take a nap while all the action was happening...
